Drone Video and Aerial Footage in Casper, Wyoming

Some stories need a wider view. Drone footage shows the size of your facility, the setting of your property, the energy of your event or the sweep of a Wyoming landscape in a way no ground camera can. Hummingbird Media Productions captures aerial video and photos in Casper and across Wyoming as part of complete video productions.
Where aerial footage makes a difference

- Business and facility overviews: show your building, yard, fleet or campus in one shot.
- Brand films and commercials: big, cinematic opening shots that make a local business look world-class.
- Events: the scale of a conference, festival or company gathering, from above.
- Hospitality, recreation and destinations: resorts, venues, parks and outdoor attractions.
- Progress and before-and-after: projects that change over time and look best from the air.
- Aerial photos: high-resolution stills for your website, ads and print. See our photography services.
Drone footage as part of the whole story
There are drone-only operators who will fly and hand you raw files. We do something different. Aerial shots are one tool inside a full production, so your drone footage is planned alongside interviews, ground-level b-roll, music and editing. The result is a finished video with a story, not just a folder of clips. If drone footage is all you need, we're happy to talk about that too.
Safety, airspace and the rules
Commercial drone flights in the United States fall under the FAA's Part 107 rules. Our drone work is flown by an FAA Part 107 certified remote pilot. Some parts of the Casper area are near controlled airspace around Casper–Natrona County International Airport, which can require FAA authorization before flying. We also plan around people, roads and private property. Before every aerial shoot we check the location, airspace and weather, and we'll tell you up front if a shot isn't possible or safe.
Wyoming wind and weather
Anyone who lives here knows the wind can change a plan fast. We watch the forecast closely, schedule aerial shots for calmer windows (often early morning or evening, which also gives the best light), and keep a ground-based plan ready so the shoot day is never wasted. Aerial work from our projects

- ASEA Diamond Summit 2022: drone shots alongside guest interviews, 360 video, 4K video and photos for a corporate incentive trip in the Dominican Republic.
- Jump Craze: aerial views of the trampoline park as part of their project.

- Healthcare and additional services: aerial is one of the add-on services we offer with our video work.
How a drone shoot works
- Plan. We talk through the shots you need, check the location and airspace, and schedule around weather.
- Fly and film. Aerial footage is captured in high resolution, usually together with ground filming on the same day.
- Edit. Aerial shots are color-matched and cut into your finished video, or delivered as stills and clips for your team.
Getting the most out of aerial shots
A few well-planned aerial shots usually do more than a lot of random flying. Before the shoot, we'll talk about how the footage will be used: an opening shot for your brand video, a slow reveal of your facility, a moving shot that follows a vehicle or crew, or stills for your website. Then we plan flight paths, timing and light to get exactly those shots.
Golden hour, the soft light just after sunrise and before sunset, makes Wyoming landscapes and buildings look their best. It also tends to line up with calmer wind, so it's often our first choice for aerial work. Aerial clips are delivered color-matched to the rest of your video, so the footage feels like one consistent piece.
Pricing
Drone footage is usually added to a larger video project, so it's quoted as part of your custom estimate. See how our pricing works or explore our Casper video production services.
Frequently asked questions
Are your drone pilots FAA certified?
Yes. Our drone footage is flown by an FAA Part 107 certified remote pilot, following FAA rules on airspace and safety.
Can you fly a drone anywhere in Casper?
Not everywhere. Some areas near Casper–Natrona County International Airport are controlled airspace that needs FAA authorization, and flights over crowds and certain properties are restricted. We check every location before the shoot.
What happens if it's too windy?
We schedule aerial shots for calmer windows and keep a ground-based plan ready. If the wind won't cooperate, we reschedule the aerial portion rather than risk the shot or the equipment.
Do you offer aerial photos as well as video?
Yes. Aerial photography is part of our photography services, and we often capture stills and video on the same flight.
